BUMBLING TOURIST

Lungshan Temple 艋舺龍山寺 Taipei Taiwan/ Trying Bubble Tea For the First Time

Here is a video we made about visiting Longshan Temple in Taipei Taiwan, and trying Bubble Tea for the first time.

After climbing Elephant Mountain in central Taipei, we headed to Longshan temple. I had visited this temple when I travelled to Taipei by myself for Lunar New Year in 2012. The architecture of this temple is so amazing, you can wander and people watch for hours. All the details and plants and smells and sounds are so interesting. As soon as you enter, if you turn left you will see people using the fortune telling sticks. There is a little waterfall right inside the outer entrance too!

As we wandered around the temple, an older lady who was praying came over to me and said “welcome to Taiwan”.

Afterwards, we bought a beer and had a little picnic in the park that is outside of the temple grounds. It was nice to relax and enjoy our last day in Taiwan. On our way to the metro, I spotted a bubble tea shop. It was just a little window that opened up into a shop that looked as if it has once been an alleyway. I ordered a bubble tea, my first time ever trying it!!! And to think my first time with bubba tea was in the place that it was invented!! I ordered my tea with a sweetness of zero, which made it really delightful. I’m not a sugar fan, so I was a bit afraid to try it, but this version was really good!

After our snack, we headed back down to the metro, and wandered around the little underground mall, where we picked up a few souvenirs for people back home.
