Whilst staying in Brasov, we went on an incredible day trip to Bran Castle and Rasnov Citadel. Bran is located about 45 minutes outside of Brasov, by city bus.

The Local Bus Terminal in Brasov is located just outside the Old City. From the local terminal you take bus number 12, although it is simpler to look for signs in the bus window that say “Bran” or “Rasnov”

In order to know when to get off the bus in Bran, we used the app Maps.me and followed where we were on a map. You could also ask the driver to let you know when to get off the bus in Bran.

The bus takes about 45 minutes to arrive in Bran, and it cost us approximately 5 leu or $1.60 CAD. The adult entrance fee for Bran Castle was 40 leu or $13.00 CAD.

You can easily combine a trip to Bran Castle and Rasnov Citadel into one day trip from Brasov. Rasnov is situated between Brasov and Bran.
