After a full day at Nara, we decided to explore a neighbourhood in Osaka called Shinsekai.

Shinsekai is a cool retro neighbourhood in Osaka developed before world war two and centered around Tsutenkaku Tower. The closest station would be Shin-Imamiya Station on the JR Loop Line. (To Book Train Travel in Japan Click Here)

We ate at a cool little izakaya where we tried the iconic Kushikatsu, along with beer!

Kushikatsu is lightly breaded and deep fried food on a stick which you dip into a sweet and savoury sauce. We ordered a veggie and fish selection.

We then explored the streets surrounding Shinsekai, and headed home around 10:30pm, as the shops were all closing up.
