After a quick breakfast, we rented a scooter from our hotel. Jives drove to begin with, which was interesting considering he does not have his license and has never driven, but it was much more like riding a bike. He has an easier time driving than I did, because of the weight distribution. When I drove with him on the back, I had a hard time starting because I had to balance his and my weight, perched high up. When I drove alone, I had no problem. But anyways…

With the scooter we were able to see places that were further away, like Thitsarwadi temple.

We also visited a giant stupa called Luymyethna, with a beautiful white temple and then Let Put Kan.

There were a lot less tourists and a few less touts in these areas. I bought a tiny metal lion statue at one of the temples.

We then stopped off for lunch again at Elodie, in New Bagan. I had potato curry and Jives had a veggie curry.

We loved exploring on our scooter!

We returned the scooter at 2pm, after 4 hours, which costs us 5000 Kyat about $5 Canadian.

We then relaxed in the pool until dinner time.
