We spent the morning in Mitaka at the Ghibli Museum (you can read in our previous post all about that!) but on the way back to Tokyo we stopped off at Nakano Broadway.
Nakano Broadway is a crazy nerd paradise! There are four floors ,and possibly a basement of everything an otaku could dream of: manga, figurines, costumes, trains, dolls, animation cells…
We spent a few hours here and then had conveyor belt/ bullet train sushi. You can order specific sushi to come to your seat on a bullet train, or you can grab things off the conveyor belt below. For less than $15, we were stuffed!!
We then took the Chou line the rest of the way back to Tokyo and to our airbnb.
After a brief rest we took the train/ monorail to Odaiba Island to see the new Gundam Robot.
The monorail goes from Shimbashi station all the way to Odaiba, crossing over the rainbow bridge. Just as we were leaving, the Giant Gundam lit up and started performing!!! We filmed the whole show, so make sure to check out the Youtube video we will link at the top of this blog post.
