Most Beautiful Temple in UBUD! Sarawati Temple

Here is a video we made at Sarawati Temple in Ubud Bali Indonesia

We went down to breakfast at around 9am after having a few coffees on our balcony. After our very last Ubud breakfast (I spiced myself with the chilli sauce) we started out towards Ubud city, walking all the way to the bridge into town. We stopped on the main street at a convenience store for a coffee, then crossed the street to visit Sarawati Temple (free to enter). Sarawati temple was fairly small but incredibly beautiful, with lotus flowers blooming in the ponds.

Sarawati is surrounded by water and beautiful lush plant life, making it one of the most photogenic temples we visited in Ubud. After absorbing the beautiful views of Sarawati temple, we decided to venture down a little pathway we had seen off of the main Ubud strip. The pathway was incredibly narrow, with portions that were barely a foot wide and a drop down into the jungle overgrowth on one side.

We had to walk single file along most of the pathways and over makeshift wooden “bridges” (by bridge I mean a loose piece of wood haphazardly placed over a sheer drop off). We stumbled upon an abandoned building that Jives decided to film a rap take in. We then adventured a bit further and arrived in a beautiful area full of rice fields. Honestly, wandering the rice fields and getting lost along little farming pathways has been the highlight of our time in Ubud (at least for me). We then decided to walk to Goa Gajah temple, famous for its “face cave”, a mere two hour walk away… but we would see some spectacular things along the way!
